100% British Jacob wool spun in Yorkshire.

Weight approx 120m(131yards) per 100g, tension 18st=4inch (10cm).

Jacob sheep are a native british breed noted for their multi-coloured coats. Their wool is of medium quality so this yarn is best for outerwear such as hats or scarves. It can be worn next-to skin but would be unsuitable for those who find wool scratchy. This is a high quality, three-ply, worsted-spun aran-weight. The yarn will give a tweedy effect as the base consists of two white and one grey singles.

Wensleydale is one of the British longwools and is a breed that originated in the Yorkshire dales. Their wool is long soft and lustrous and those qualities are perfectly captured in this luxury yarn. Worsted-spun to conserve the lustre this is a next-to-skin soft wool, great for small projects such as hats or scarves as this is a very luxurious warm yarn.
